Mansell is a former lead singer and guitarist of the band Pop Will Eat Itself. However, film scores are more notable part of his career. He started with music for "Pi", movie directed by Darren Aronofsky, and continued with scores for every Aronofsky film to date (Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, The Wrestler, Black Swan). His debut as a video game composer is the contribution for Mass Effect 3.
